The Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu Human Rights Policy (the “Policy”) is based on the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights” and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and it reflects our commitment to respecting human rights in order to fulfill our responsibilities to all our stakeholders.

Our Business and Supply Chains
Given the nature of the Firm’s business and our relatively limited supply chain, we consider the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our business or supply chains to be low.
Our supply chains mainly comprise suppliers and other business partners that support us in providing legal advice to clients, including providers of facility management services, office equipment, and technology. We also collaborate with law firms in other jurisdictions to provide sophisticated legal services.
Policies
As part of our efforts to address modern slavery, we have adopted a number of policies relating to slavery and human trafficking, which reflect our commitment to act ethically in all our business activities. These policies include:
- Human Rights Policy
- Anti-Money Laundering Rules
- Anti-Harassment Policy
- Internal Reporting Rules
We also expect our business partners and suppliers to adopt similarly high standards and to observe fair employment practices. We have a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains.
Training
To ensure a high level of awareness of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in business and supply chains, the Firm will continue to provide appropriate education and training on an ongoing basis.
