Akira Komatsu is a partner at Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu. His practice focuses on technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT), with a particular focus on emerging business areas involving artificial intelligence (AI), web3, extended reality (XR), the metaverse, and smart city initiatives. He also has extensive experience advising clients in start-up related matters, sports and entertainment, real estate, dispute resolution including international arbitration, and other general corporate matters. He also leverages his experience from secondments to Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. (2019–2021) and Preferred Networks, Inc. (2022) in advising on business collaborations and investments between operating companies and startups.
