Saiko Nakajima is a Partner at Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu. She received her LL.B. from the Faculty of Law, Keio University in 1997. She was registered with the Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar Association from 1999 to 2009, and re-registered in 2026. She received an LL.M. from Columbia Law School in 2004 and an LL.M. from The University of Texas Law School in 2005.
For over 17 years, from 2008 to 2026, she served at the Secretariat of the Japan Fair Trade Commission, successively holding senior positions, including Senior Investigator for Mergers and Acquisitions, Head, Investigation Division for Digital Platform Operators, and Director, Litigation Division. She has extensive experience in merger review across various sectors and in the investigation of suspected Antimonopoly Act violations, including those in the digital sector.
