Mr. Umezawa joined the firm in 1999. He provides legal advice and services on laws and regulations relevant to banking institutions, securities companies, insurance companies, asset management companies, J-REIT and other financial institutions, as well as on legal compliance issues, corporate governance and M&As for financial institutions. When he worked as a government official at the Financial Services Agency, he was engaged in drafting the Bank Inspection Manual, Trust Bank Inspection Manual and Insurance Inspection Manual.
