Prior to her appointment as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Japan, Ms. Yuko Miyazaki was a lawyer at our firm handling general corporate and taxation matters, the latter at various stages, from planning to tax controversy.
She has been involved in education and research on tax law at the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Law and Kyoto University Law School, and also served as a member of the National Bar Examination Commission from 2011 to 2013.
In the Supreme Court of Japan, as a Justice of the Third Petty Bench, she presided over various civil, administrative, and criminal cases.
Ms. Miyazaki co-authored “Introduction to International Taxation, 4th Edition” (University of Tokyo Press, 2019), with Professor Yoshihiro Masui.
