Our Silicon Valley office （Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu US LLP） commenced operations in August 2026 in California, establishing an on-the-ground presence in the heart of one of the world’s foremost hubs of innovation. This region is home to a concentration of advanced industries, including AI, semiconductors, space, life sciences, and mobility, and is where new technologies and business models continue to emerge. This presence allows us to follow developments in the business environment and in market trends more closely, and to advise our clients on their global business activities from within this region.
In recent years, demand for Japan-U.S. investment, business alliances, M&A, and similar transactions has grown, and matters relating to the U.S. West Coast have increased accordingly. For many years, with our New York office serving as our U.S. base, we have consistently handled a broad range of international matters, including support for Japanese companies entering the U.S. market, cross-border M&A, finance transactions, and dispute resolution. Through this work, we have built a strong track record and an extensive network in the U.S. Working closely with our New York office, our Silicon Valley office is well positioned to handle matters relating to the U.S. West Coast promptly and effectively.
