Indonesia Legal Update – What Is Going On Under the Prabowo Administration?

Following his landslide victory in the Presidential Election last year, President Prabowo Subianto has made poverty eradication and achieving economic growth over eight percent the central goals of his administration. He allocates a massive portion of the national budget to social programs such as the free meal initiative, while efforts to revitalize domestic industries are being promoted through the strategic use of investment funds from the newly established sovereign wealth fund “Danantara” established under his leadership. This seminar will provide a legal overview of the reforms progressing under the Prabowo administration where it adopts significantly different approaches to national issues compared to the previous administration.
