Outline

Businesses in recent times face growing challenges amid geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions, and other unforeseen global events. Commercial uncertainties arising from such events can often have a significant impact on risk allocation, contract compliance and performance.

This seminar will provide a comparative discussion of the approaches under common law and civil law in addressing risks and uncertainties arising from external events beyond the control of contracting parties. The seminar will also discuss practical steps in contract drafting to address or mitigate the impact of uncertain and unforeseeable events.
