He has abundant experience handling Japanese insolvency and restructuring proceedings.
With respect to in-court proceedings, he has managed three corporate reorganization proceedings as deputy trustee, seven civil rehabilitation proceedings as deputy trustee or counsel, a lot of bankruptcy proceedings as bankruptcy trustee or deputy bankruptcy trustee, one special liquidation proceeding as deputy liquidator and one special mediation proceeding as counsel.
With respect to out-of-court proceedings, he has handled six out-of-court workouts as counsel or deputy supervisor. He also has managed a lot of distressed M&A cases on behalf of both sellers and buyers.
In addition, the court appointed him as the interim representative of a company and he has managed the company as the interim representative.
Member: Japanese Association of Turnaround Professionals, All Japan Bankruptcy Lawyers’ Network, the Bankruptcy Law Division, Legal Studies Department, Tokyo Bar Association and Business Rehabilitation Research Organization.
He served as Deputy Secretary-General of the Bankruptcy Law Division, Legal Studies Department, Tokyo Bar Association (April 2020-March 2021).
