Kiyoshi Honda is the Head of London Office (Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu UK Limited).
He specializes in the areas of energy related transaction (especially, renewables), real estate transaction and environmental law related matters (incl. ESG/SDGs and emission trading) and represents a number of reputable international and domestic corporations.
He has broad experience in energy related transactions, with a strong focus on acquisition and development of renewable energy projects, such as mega solar, wind farm (incl. offshore wind farm) and biomass projects. Also, he has lots of experience in developing gas/coal fired power plant projects. In such transactions, he provides legal advice on project financing as well as matters relating to acquisition/development of power plants. Furthermore, in recent years, after the full liberalization of Japanese electricity retail market, he has also been active in transactions relating to electricity retail business, including M&A deal of electricity retail company and legal advice on electricity retail business.
