Nobuaki Ito is a partner at Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu. He provides a wide range of legal advice on antitrust and competition law matters, including merger control, cartel investigations, unilateral conduct, as well as other general corporate matters. He previously worked in the competition group of Ashurst (London office) as a visiting attorney from 2016 to 2017, and for the M&A Division of the Japan Fair Trade Commission as a Chief Investigator from 2017 to 2019 where he reviewed a number of high-profile M&A transactions (mainly in steel, pharmaceutical, chemical, IT, and energy sectors), and drafted the latest Merger Guidelines.
